M. Levi Morris

Levi graduated from the Washburn University School of Law and started out in private practice in his hometown, Newton, KS. In Newton, Mr. Morris represented clients in divorce proceedings, criminal cases, probate matters such as guardianships and conservatorships for both children and adults, and general civil matters. In the spring of 2013, Levi joined the Barton County Attorney's Office. In Barton County, Mr. Morris was responsible for prosecuting Felony and Misdemeanor criminal cases, as well as Child in Need of Care cases and Juvenile Offenders. In 2015, Mr. Morris returned to private practice in Lyons, KS. In December 2018, the Governor appointed Mr. Morris to serve as the Barton County Attorney for the remainder of the existing term. At this time, Mr. Morris no longer handles contested matters for private clients and has a private practice confined to wills and trust, and other matters that do not interfere with his responsibilities as County Attorney.
